Dear Friends and Supporters of Jesus Cares 2020 Ministries,

We are excited to announce our efforts to reopen the Community Dining Room at 610 Wilson Street, Santa Rosa, a crucial facility that has served as a beacon of hope for those in need. For nearly 60 years, this dining room has provided meals to more than 500 people experiencing homelessness each year. Jesus cares 2020 Ministries has served over 60,000 meals since we took over the meal service in 2021 until March 2023. After temporary closure in March 2024 due to a strategic shift by our partner, St. Vincent de Paul Society, and subsequent challenges, we have secured a favorable lease and city approval to continue our vital services.

 

Today, we stand ready to restore and enhance these vital services. But to make this a reality, we need your support. Here’s how you can help:

 Donate: We have set a fundraising goal of $200,000 to cover all necessary renovations and updates to reopen our doors. Your generous contributions will support:

                    •   Roof Patching and Epoxy Flooring: For enhanced hygiene, safety, and compliance with health

                         regulations.

                    •   Bathroom Repairs and Mop Sink Installation: Ensuring accessibility and meeting county health

                         requirements.

                    •   Kitchen Equipment: Including a 6-burner gas stove, oven, and a reach-in refrigerator.

                    •   Vehicle: A truck or van is needed for efficient food donation pickups.

  Volunteer: Join our dedicated team on the ground. There are numerous hands-on service opportunities available that make a direct impact.

  Spread the Word: Help us reach more people by sharing our mission with your friends, family, and local businesses.
